2012 The Year of the Photo

For those of you who do not know me personally, I have recently embarked on a life changing journey that will specialise my interests and abilities. I AM Fotografie is on tour indefinitely!

I have left my tiny desert island that I called home for five years and started a MA degree in photojournalism and documentary photography at the University of the Arts London.

I had a seven year absence from this concrete wood that was so creatively challenging and rewarding at the same time. Lots of memories were made here. Milestones in self-discovery and adventures with friends that will forever have to stay good memories.

This is where photography started for me and it changed the way I look at life. Lots have changed in London. People seem to be friendlier than i remember and Camden Town seems more orderly.

The MA course is a vigorous one. Not for the lazy or unmotivated. My fellow students are good and I have to “step it up” with more thought processing in my work and getting in closer to my subjects.

Every week I have to do photo assignments on various different criterias and challenging subjects. I will write about my experiences and upload the photos to the I AM blog for you to critique. This is the year of the photo and this is my time to shine.

Enjoy the show!
